Specifically Designed for Balconies

In the context of balcony installations, load bearing strength is increasingly important when looking at the construction of bolt on balconies.

Joists are required at 600mm centres compared to around 350 or 400mm for other man made decking products.  

No Clips Are Required 

The aluminium decking can be directly fitted to any type of subframe or pre formed steel or aluminium without the need of expensive clips. Standard self drillings screws are suitable for most applications.

The load bearing capacity of any decking is an important consideration of any construction.

Proactive 600 aluminium decking has been tested by SGS the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and Certification Company in their accredited laboratories. It was tested in accordance with BS6389 – 1996, Section 5.1.3.

with a point loading of 2KN at 600mm centres.  It achieved a deflection of 4.10mm. Aluminium decking is structurally efficient, being light in weight (one third the weight of steel) yet high in load bearing strength.

Low Maintenance 

No special maintenance, tools or skill set is required to maintain Aluminium Decking.

It will not warp or rot and the dimensional stability ensures years of trouble free use. A periodic clean with a soft bristle brush and warm water will remove any dirt or grime. 

The Best Anti Slip Certifications 

Tested by SGS in accordance with BS 7976-2:2002+A1:2013 the Proactive 600 achieved a “dry value” of 60 and a “wet value” of 46 making it suitable for installation in even the harshest of conditions. 

Available Cut to Length  

The standard length of Teckwood’s aluminium decking is 3200mm but if you have time we can extrude to your projects exact requirements. Please note, minimum quantities may apply. 

Profile Size 147 x 22mm 

The Proactive board uses the size most associated with traditional decking being 147mm in width. The low height works well in areas where thresholds may be an issue.  

Available in All Standard RAL Colours 

If finishing is an issue the Proactive decking is available from stock in RAL 7016 but it can be supplied in any RAL colour of your choosing to give that perfect aesthetic tough finish to any deck. Please note, minimum quantities may apply.
