Developers W.C.L. of Stockton on Tees have recently completed the installation of cladding work on a curved building at a primary school in York. Clad in our eco friendly cedar composite cladding, the circular wall created a challenge for the design team at Harris Irwin Architects to construct a functioning composite clad, low maintenance wall that would be easy to maintain.
Fitting vertical cladding boards around a huge curving wall requires installation expertise and the team at W.C.L. used pre fabrication construction techniques to integrate the building into the environment whilst ensuring full utilisation of the benefits offered by the materials.
By using stainless steel fixings and a breathable membrane the sustainably sourced fire rated composite cladding uses modern recycled elements and offers fantastic protection from the cold and damp weather.
